The Fight for Peace Academy was buzzing last weekend with the launch of Champ Camp – an exclusive series of seminars hosted by leading martial artists.
The new initiative is aimed at optimising the use of the wonderful facilities at Fight for Peace’s disposal while offering young athletes, and the wider martial arts community, access to coaching by athletes operating at the top of their game.
It was a great pleasure to kick off the Champ Camp series with a muay thai focus and a seminar delivered by ONE Championship’s Amber Kitchen.
“Our aim is to get the very best martial artists from the UK and beyond to our Academy so that people with a passion for martial arts, including young people from Fight for Peace, can be inspired by and learn from athletes operating at the elite level,” explained Fight for Peace Facilities and Relationships Manager Perry McMahon.
“This provides a brilliant opportunity for us to engage with the martial arts community beyond our Academy walls, and it also allows us to share our story and mission with people who may not ordinarily come through our doors,” added Perry.
“It was brilliant to kick off this initiative with Amber Kitchen, who delivered a fantastic seminar, and we are excited to announce more Champ Camp dates with leading names as we move forward with this initiative.”
We owe a huge shout out to Amber Kitchen for being a complete pro in launching this series of events. We really enjoyed working with this exciting young muay thai fighter, and it was clear that everyone in attendance took a huge amount of learning away. You are always very welcome back Amber, thank you for being a part of the Fight for Peace story!
Fight for Peace is due to announce dates for a second Champ Camp seminar later this year and anyone interested in participating or in finding out more can contact Perry McMahon at perry@fightforpeace.net.
