We are excited to announce that Fight for Peace’s Young Creatives have launched ‘Martial Arts Stories By Women’, a powerful new campaign amplifying the voices of women in combat sports – a space traditionally dominated by men. Despite this long-standing history, this reality is changing. Across gyms, communities, and global stages, women are not only participating – they are redefining what strength, belonging, and visibility look like. This campaign captures that shift in motion.
At its core are the journeys of three women athletes connected to Fight for Peace – boxer and personal trainer Luna, judoka and Youth Power member Temmy, and muay thai competitor Javic. Each of their stories demonstrates how inclusive, supportive environments can build confidence and create spaces where young women feel safe, seen, and empowered to thrive. Told through film, photography, and design, their experiences reflect a broader cultural evolution taking place across martial arts – and sport more generally.
What sets this campaign apart is the central role young people have played at every stage of its development. The process began with youth-led poetry and spoken word workshops, led and facilitated by Temmy, who brought both her lived experience as an athlete and her voice as a creative practitioner into the heart of the project. These sessions provided a platform for young women to explore and express their experiences of sport, identity, and belonging. The work produced was honest, reflective, and deeply personal, forming the creative foundation of the campaign.

Selected poems were then developed into high-quality visual pieces, merging poetry, film, and photography into a bold and dynamic social media campaign designed to challenge perceptions and spark conversation. Alongside her role as workshop lead, Temmy also features as one of the three athletes in the campaign, bringing a unique dual perspective as both contributor and subject.

Temmy’s vision was brought to life in collaboration with Fight for Peace’s Young Creatives, who led the campaign from concept to execution. Creative Director Maz oversaw the overall direction, ensuring a cohesive narrative across all elements. Working closely alongside Videographer and Editor Lorenzo who produced three powerful films that translated the athletes’ journeys into compelling visual stories. Photographer and Designer Fatimah captured striking still imagery of all three athletes, drawing on impactful quotes from the poems to create a series of designs that amplify the campaign’s key messages.
Together, their work demonstrates the power of youth-led creativity – not only in telling stories, but to actively shape how those stories are seen, shared, and understood.

‘Martial Arts Stories By Women’ challenges stereotypes surrounding boxing and martial arts, breaks down barriers to participation, and champions voices too often excluded. It reinforces Fight for Peace’s belief that sport and personal development can be life-changing tools for young people everywhere.
As women continue to redefine their place within martial arts – from grassroots gyms to global arenas – this campaign ensures their voices are not only heard, but centred. It is a call for greater representation, stronger communities, and more inclusive opportunities across sport.
Fight for Peace is now calling on audiences, partners, and the wider sporting community to support and amplify this movement – by sharing these stories and championing grassroots organisations creating real change. Increasing visibility is critical to shifting perceptions and ensuring that more young people everywhere can access safe, inclusive spaces to grow, express themselves, and belong through sport.
