We are super excited to extend an open invitation to the exclusive premiere of our youth-produced documentary The Bluebox in Newham: Home of Champions!
The event will take place on Wednesday 26th June at 7pm at our Academy, and is the first event of this kind which provides our young masterminds the chance to showcase their work in a live setting. The event is open to everyone who applies for tickets via the link below!
The documentary is produced, directed and filmed by Fight for Peace’s Young Creatives, our group of young people developing skills and experience in media production while producing film, social media and other creative content.
The premiere is one of over 70 free events featured in the 2024 edition of Newham Heritage Month – an annual heritage festival organised by Newham Council with support from National Lottery Heritage Fund. Under the theme of Places and Spaces, the month-long festival will celebrate Newham’s rich and diverse heritage through film screenings, exhibitions, workshops, talks, tours, and other live events.
Fight for Peace’s contribution will explore the origins and development of our organisation, its connection with Newham, and the young champions who make it the vibrant and inspiring community that it is.
To accompany the main film, there will be a special screening of an In the Making film, taking the audience behind the scenes of how the film was produced. And the evening will culminate in an interactive film quiz and Q&A with the film’s Director, Aladdin Benberna, its Assistant Director, Amet Ndiaye, Project & Marketing Assistant Zaynab Alom, as well as Behind the Scenes Producer, Andrei Gradinar and Project Photographer Mazhar Alam.
