Fight for Peace is thrilled to celebrate the commendable efforts of two Alliance partners! With the assistance of our Income Generation Support team, Burnage Community Wrestling and Team Mushin have secured pivotal funding that will enable them to keep positively impacting the lives of young people and their local communities.
While our Academy in Newham provides direct support to young people, we also operate an Alliance in the UK and around the world to reach even more. Via our Alliance, we exchange skills, knowledge and guidance with community-based partners to strengthen youth programmes, and enable us to support as many young people as possible.

As eloquently shared by Team Mushin founder, Sue King, “Since joining the Fight for Peace Alliance back in 2015, the organisation has been a consistent and invaluable source of support for our work. As a small Community Interest Company, partnerships like this are more than helpful—they are essential.”
Through mentorship and collaboration with our fundraising consultant, Sarah Capewell, the Liverpool-based academy has now secured its biggest grant to date from Sport England. With this grant, they will now pursue a Mindful Movement project which engages young people through a blend of physical activity and mindfulness practices. Keep an eye on Team Mushin’s Instagram to see when this exciting new project will begin.

Burnage Community Wrestling are also part of our Alliance and received vital support through training and access to funding, allowing them to deepen their impact across their community in south Manchester. In the last year, they have won grants from both Sport England and the National Lottery Fund.
We were thrilled to hear from Amenah Radiom at the club:
“Fight for Peace has been a game-changer for Burnage Community Wrestling Club. Our south Manchester club has evolved into a vibrant community and has increased female participation thanks to Fight for Peace. We’ve created a safe and inclusive environment where young people can build discipline, confidence, leadership, and employability skills through wrestling.”
Thank you to both organisations for their continued belief in the power of collaboration and our Alliance. We are confident that our combined efforts will continue to make a positive impact on young people nationwide and beyond.
