JOINING FIGHT FOR PEACE

How can I join Fight for Peace as a member?

Fight for Peace offers programmes and activities from across our Five Pillars. This includes training in combat sports for all abilities from beginner to competitor, education courses to re-engage with learning and support you to gain qualifications, employment support to help you progress in your career, youth leadership opportunities, and mentoring from staff to support you facing any challenges or obstacles in your life.

We also have a range of personal development activities for Fight for Peace members to discuss important issues and build on and develop a range of skills. At our London Academy our programmes and activities include specialist sessions for young people aged 7-14, which are separate from our senior sessions for young people aged 14-25, and for women and girls only – what we call Lutadoras.

What happens once I join Fight for Peace?

Once you join Fight for Peace you will be given an induction to orient yourself, meet our staff and members, and help you get an idea of the activities on offer, our facilities and how everything works. At that point you can begin taking part in our activities!

What different activities can I do at Fight for Peace?

To refer a young person to Fight for Peace in London, just head to the referrals section of our Get Involved page and use the contact email to get in touch with our team. For other locations please contact our teams directly using the information in the Get Involved or Contact page. 

How can I talk to someone about supporting my son/daughter?

To talk to someone about specialist support for your son or daughter at our London Academy, please contact us via email on info@fightforpeace.net. From here we can direct you to the best person to support. For our other locations (Brazil and Jamaica) please reach out to the local teams via the contacts in our Get Involved or Contact pages.

WORKING WITH AND SUPPORTING FIGHT FOR PEACE

I want to support Fight for Peace’s work, how can I do this?

We depend upon support and partnerships in order to deliver our work and there are lots of ways you can help us! You can support our programmes by donating or raising money for our work, or by building partnerships between Fight for Peace and your place of work. You can also reach out to collaborate using your area of expertise, for example in production or design. And you can support us further by helping raise awareness for our work – following us on social media, attending our events, and telling your friends and family about the work we do!

Where can I see Fight for Peace’s work in action?

You can follow us on social media to keep up to date with everything we are doing around the world and we hold several events, both virtual and in person. You can also arrange to come down and visit us to see our work in person – just reach out at info@fightforpeace.net.

How can I work for Fight for Peace?

We regularly recruit new staff members and our job openings are advertised via our Work With Us page and our social media channels.

Does Fight for Peace have any volunteering opportunities?
